Cocktail Project with Wild Roots Vodka

In case you didn't know, I love working with local brands and distilleries! I enjoyed collaborating with Wild Roots Vodka from here in Portland, to develop some fun cocktail recipes. Wild Roots offers 7 different vodkas: 1 flagship vodka and 6 that are infused with real fruit from all over the Pacific Northwest. The real, natural flavors of local fruit make for some delicious and easy drink-making. Pick up a bottle from Wild Roots next time you see it or drop by their tasting room if you're in Portland.

Then of course, try out the recipes I came up with below...


wild roots vodka

Pacific Sunset

1oz Cranberry-infused vodka

1oz apple brandy

¾ oz fresh orange juice

½ oz cinnamon syrup

splash of soda

instructions:

Shake ingredients and strain into snifter with crushed ice. Add a splash of soda and garnish with orange peel.


portland vodka

Easygoing Orchard

1½ oz Apple-cinnamon-infused vodka

½ oz elderflower liqueur

1 tsp Demerara syrup

2 dashes aromatic bitters

instructions:

Stir ingredients and strain into rocks glass over one large ice cube. Garnish with cinnamon sticks.

2 oz Marionberry-infused vodka

¾ oz Ginger liqueur

½ oz fresh lemon juice

½ oz simple syrup

ginger beer

instructions:

Shake ingredients and strain into collins glass with ice. Top with ginger beer, garnish with a lemon wheel and serve with a straw.


easy vodka cocktail

Red Right Hand

1½ oz Raspberry-infused vodka

½ oz Cascadia Bitter Liqueur

½ oz Dolin Blanc vermouth

2 dashes orange bitters

instructions:

Stir ingredients and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with lemon zest.


pear vodka cocktail

Half the Garden

1½ oz Pear-infused vodka

¾ oz fresh lemon juice

3 mint leaves

3-4 blueberries

¼ oz honey simple syrup

instructions:

Add mint leaves, blueberries and honey syrup to shaker and gently muddle. Add the rest of ingredients and shake, then strain into a cocktail glass with ice. Garnish with fresh mint.

Better Than Cherry Coke

1½ oz Dark Sweet Cherry-infused Vodka

¾ oz vintage cola syrup

½ oz fresh lime juice

soda water

instructions:

Shake ingredients and strain into cocktail glass with ice. Top with soda and garnish with a lime wedge.
