Nothing too ground-breaking here, just an easy, refreshing summer sipper I made up to share with the lady!
I've been enjoying my bottle of Portland Potato Vodka from Eastside Distilling. I've always been kinda bored by vodka, but this stuff has something special about it. Made from potatoes instead of grain, it has a real silky mouthfeel and no burn.
1 1/2 Portland Potato Vodka
1 1/2 oz pomegranate juice
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/4 oz simple syrup
3 dashes of grapefruit bitters
Fresh rosemary sprig
Garnish: Another sprig of rosemary & dehydrated lime wheel
Gently crush the rosemary in the bottom of the shaker with a muddler. Add other ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Float a dehydrated lime wheel on top and add a fresh rosemary sprig for garnish.
