Plymouth Gin is extra cool, because it's both a brand of gin and a style in itself. It was first distilled at the Black Friars Distillery in Plymouth, England back in the 1790's, and is the only gin produced in Plymouth to this day.
If you haven't tried it, you definitely should! Personally, I prefer it to the London Dry style of gin that is more prevalent nowadays. Crisp, citrusy and works well in basically any gin cocktail. If you're trying to keep your home bar minimal, this is a great and versatile bottle to have on hand! I'd refer to it as my "dessert island gin."
